How facts are sourced

Regulatory and technical claims are verified against primary sources before publication: the National Building Code of India 2016, published IS standards (notably IS 6594:2001 and IS 2266:2002 for steel wire ropes), state legislation such as the Maharashtra Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Act 2006, and manufacturer technical documentation. Where a claim cannot be verified against a primary source — for example, vendor load-capacity figures — we say so explicitly rather than repeat it as fact.

How prices are gathered

Price figures are compiled from published installer rate cards, marketplace listings and directly collected quotes, are always dated in the text ("as of mid-2026"), and are presented as ranges. We do not accept pricing information from installers in exchange for coverage.

Review cycle

Every article displays its publication date and last-reviewed date. Cost and regulation pages are re-verified at least every six months; all other guides at least annually, and immediately after any relevant regulatory change.

Corrections

If we got something wrong, we fix it visibly: material corrections are noted on the article itself with the date of correction. Report errors via the contact page — corrections are typically reviewed within one week.

Independence & disclosure

The founder of this site, Thariq, runs AluGuard Systems, a Chennai-based company that fabricates aluminium screen systems and installs invisible grills. We disclose this prominently rather than pretend neutrality we don't have. The working rules that protect the content: guides never promote or link to AluGuard Systems as a recommendation, the site does not route reader enquiries to it, no installer or manufacturer — including the founder's company — pays for coverage, placement or verdicts, and price data is compiled from market-wide sources, never from any single company's rate card. If any specific content ever involves the founder's company (for example, a photographed case study), that content will carry a clear disclosure on the page.

Use of AI

Drafting may involve AI assistance for research organization and structure. Every published claim, figure and recommendation is human-verified against the sources above, and every article is reviewed and signed by its named author, who is accountable for its accuracy.
